Whether your performances reflect the influences of popular, modern culture or of legacies tied to tradition, you are welcome to apply
Artists will be divided by experience levels into one of three categories: advanced, intermediate, and basic.
The application materials will be reviewed on a rolling basis to choose up to 1000 Artists in each category (music, dance, vocal performance, theatrical presentations, and original genre) for a minimum of 5000 who will perform before a Panel Jury in the first round of the event, the International Review, and before an audience in the second round of the event, the Talent Festival.
Once the number of applicants passing the initial screening in each category reaches 1000, applications from additional performers will be held until the next competition cycle.
Point accumulation towards “Golden Bricks” begins once the performing artist passes the initial screening and is accepted into the International Review portion of the event, becoming an Artiste of the Festival.
Points are accrued in the following ways
The Panel Jury awards points to Artistes based on their performances in the International Review portion of the competition and at the final Talent Festival performances, up to 200 points for any one Artiste.
After the Artistes perform in the International Review part of the event on-line, press articles published by accredited mass media and on-line outlets featuring particular Artistes can earn up to 200 votes each for those Artistes.
Members of the general public can vote for their favorite performers through an online system at the official website for the Festival. Each Artiste can accrue up to 200 points through this web-based system.
A “Special Edit” DVD will be sold at the Talent Festival portion of the event as well as through the Festival’s official website, and sales will be tracked to tally popularity points for each performer for a maximum of 100 points per Artiste.
Producer who register with the Festival will have the option to vote during the Talent Festival on a separate ballot. Artistes stirring up the most interest with producers can gain an additional 100 points.
During the Talent Festival showcase, audience members will vote for their one favorite performer. The top-rated Artistes will receive up to 100 additional points.
Sponsors may choose to support individual Artists by funding part or all of their registration fees for participation in the event. After the International Review, sponsors may wish to fund additional popularity 100 points in support of favorite Artists.
Artistes will not learn their point totals or “Golden Brick” tallies until the Gala Awards Ceremony at which all of the winners will be announced.
Artistes accumulate points which are equivalent to ounces in a bar of gold with corresponding monetary value.
Points earned translate into ounces of gold – and then dollars - to win the heaviest and thus most valuable brick of gold.
The thousands applicants in each genre (music, dance, vocal performance, theatrical presentations, and original genre) who pass the initial screening become Artistes with their own ID numbers that will be used for popularity ratings systems.
Performer popularity points tallied from audience votes, coupled with the Press Kit will help narrow the field of participants in each category to 1000.
All “Top 1000” Artistes with the largest point totals will receive honorable mention on the Festival website and will vie for the Festival’s highest honor – to be crowned “Muse” and receive a “Bronze Bricks”, “Silver Bricks” and “Golden Bricks”.
